Online Education: Taking Advantage of Lessons Learned

Panelists:

	Dr. Steven Furino is the Assistant Dean for Online Studies in the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Waterloo. He is a winner of the university’s Distinguished Teaching Award. He has been heavily involved in online courses since 2010.
	Dr. Nicola Wilkin is a theoretical physicist and Director of Education for the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Birmingham in the UK. She is a keen proponent of educational technology, especially in enabling students to undertake effective independent study with immediate feedback. At the University of Birmingham, she facilitated the development of the LTI connector to enable MapleT.A. and Canvas Infrastructure to be a joined-up solution for the student users.
	Bernard L. Madison is a Director at the Mathematical Association of America (MAA) since 2007 and oversees the development and delivery of the MAA-Maple T.A. Placement Testing Suite (PTS). Prior to that, Madison served as a professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences, University of Arkansas, where he continues as Emeritus Professor.
	Andrew Rourke is the Director of the Teaching Solutions Group at Maplesoft.  He regularly shares his passion for education technologies by speaking around the world about Maplesoft’s unique solutions and user-friendly features that support a range of objectives within the academic community.
