Scaling Digital & Open Educational Resources (OER)

A recent Pearson Education survey titled “Digital appetite vs. what’s on the table” found that about 82 percent of students, faculty and administrators surveyed think that digital is the future.  However, only 56 percent said more than half of their institution’s courses are using some sort of digital courseware.  Additionally, according to a 2016 Babson Survey Research Group study on Open Education Resources, the most common factor cited by faculty when selecting educational resources was the cost to the students and yet only 5.3% of courses are using open materials.  Both digital and OER materials have proven themselves successful at lowering costs for students and creating a unique and engaging learning experience.  So how best do schools scale these offerings for maximum benefit?  This webinar, sponsored by Ed Map and VitalSource, will focus in on best practices for managing the complexities of digital materials and OER so that the digital and OER footprint within an institution can effectively grow.
